Byron Bay

We loaded up the ute on Wednesday and were greeted by excellent weather, the kayak was about to come in use...excellent start!

We arrived in Byron after losing an hour and took the golf buggy down to our studio room which filled with a basket full of goodies. The French Champagne decided to try and kill Lawrie, with the cork letting loose before the twist was off! Next on the list was the exploding glass - thankfully this bad luck didn't run in threes!

Friday we walked from the resort up to Byron and back, in the rain. The scenery was great up to the lighthouse. The triple play of F111s giving it a blast and a farewell across the most Easterly point in AU was AWESOME! We completed the day with a five course degustation dinner with matching wines - the peach salad with roasted and caramelised pecans was the winner! Great day, we were left well tired & fed at the end!

Saturday was the relaxing day of the week, lazed by the pool then spent 3.5hrs in the day spa, organic lunch, massage, facials and foot treatments...heaven!
